Dr. Garnier graduated from Deakin University in 2014, having studied postgraduate Medicine and Surgery, she then completed her specialist General Practice training in Queensland, gaining fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice.
While enjoying all aspects of general practice, Dr. Garnier is Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine with a particular interest in mental health, chronic disease management, preventative health, women’s health and shared antenatal care.
As well as the qualifications previously mentioned, Dr. Garnier also has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Biochemistry. Pairing her clinical and corporate experience, Dr Garnier brings a unique and invaluable insight into modern medicine.
An advocate for preventative care with a holistic style, Dr Garnier takes an all-encompassing approach to medicine. She is passionate about the impact our general lifestyles can have on preventing, treating and reversing chronic disease, working alongside patients to optimise their health journey and make positive changes.
Her approach to counselling includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and positive psychology themes, using various mindfulness and meditation techniques, guiding patients in her supportive, pro-active way, to mental wellness.
Dr. Garnier is available Monday evening and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.
